been awarded a generous monetary grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and
Cultural Affairs in support of the JSO 53rd season which will feature
highly talented community musicians and composers.

Successful 'Second Fiddle' Sale - August 2001 - The Guild expresses
sincere appreciation to all the volunteers who collected, sorted and
sold books, games, CDs and records at this year's 'Second Fiddle' sale
during Labor Day weekend for the benefit of the Jackson Symphony
Orchestra. We also thank everyone who donated or purchased items. A
special note of gratitude goes to Natalie Halsey and Pat Eggert, who
chaired the event.

JSO to hit the road with Anne
Murray's Christmas tour. The orchestra will back the singer
at seven concerts in Michigan and Illinois. Concerts November 29, 30
and December 2, 5, 7, 8, and 9 in Lansing, Macomb, Naperville (IL),
Kalamazoo, Flint, Jackson, and Benton Harbor. See CitPat
