Tonight (March 17, 2001) marks the official kick-off of our 2001-2002 season ticket renewal festivities! We hope you are planning to join us for another outstanding year of great music! Among the highlights will be a tribute to retiring JSO Concert Master Phil Mason. Phil has devoted the last 39 years to The JSO. His time and talents have provided us with great performances and an orchestra of which we are all very proud.

Later in the season look for the return of renown pianist and Jackson favorite, David Syme as the JSO presents an evening of Jazz. For a complete listing of our new season line up please turn to page 22 in this program book.

This evening we are also pleased to welcome Guild president Natalie Halsey to the stage as we gratefully accept the Guild's annual contribution to the JSO.

Guild contributions make up over 10% of the JSO's annual operating budget. Guild members also provide a strong core of volunteers whose contributions of time add up to literally thousands of dollars. It is these contributions along with those of our annual fund contributors that make many of the JSO education and out reach programs possible.
