Tonight is truly a unique combination of beginnings and endings. The JSO begins its season with a celebration in honor of retiring JSO Concert Master Dr. Philip Mason. This evening's program reflects the outstanding accomplishments and dedication that Dr. Mason has shared with the JSO, its musicians, and countless Jackson audiences over the past 40 years. While this evening marks the end of Dr. Mason's active participation as a member of our orchestra we know that his special mark of excellence and commitment will continue to show and be evident in each JSO performance. We are also pleased to now welcome Dr. Mason as a part of our audience as a season ticket holder!
The 52nd JSO season paints a colorful and expressive picture of music and we look forward to welcoming several well known guest artists including David Syme,
Jesus Alfonzo, and Kimberly Schmidt to the concert stage. We hope if you haven't yet purchased season tickets that you will consider treating yourself this season to the JSO line up and the benefits of the JSO meal card, a special benefit that comes with each ticket!
