Meet Our Musicians: Bob Woodard
Bob Woodard began playing a trombone kazoo given to him by his trombone-playing Uncle Vern at age 6. He was hooked immediately and in fifth grade he traded it for a real trombone. He received a music education degree from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and taught music for two years. The next eighteen years were spent working in retail management. Ten years ago his passion for teaching prevailed and he is currently a special education teacher at Napoleon Community Schools. Bob also teaches private brass lessons and plays in the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, Jackson Community Concert Band, Calvary Brass, and the Capital City Brass Band.
