Meet Our Musicians: Jan Fourn
Jan holds a Master of Music with a Wind Pedagogy/Double Reed major with minors in Composition and Music History and a Bachelor of Music Education with a major in Instrumental Music and minor in Music Theory. She has been a member of the Jackson Symphony Orchestra for over 20 years and has taught at the JSO Community Music School for over 15 years. She has been a band director for 18 years, taught classes at Albion College and Jackson Community College. Jan serves as an M.S.B.O.A. adjudicator at district and state Solo/Ensemble Festivals. She is an active accompanist, composes and arranges music and performs with Espressivo, a professional Woodwind Quintet and with the musical groups of Sounds Appropriate.
