Meet Our Musicians: Tess Miller
Dr. Tess Miller has been a Michagander and musician her entire life. Her musical debut began at the age of 5 when she performed an impromptu vocal recital of songs from Annie on her first day of kindergarten. Throughout public school, Dr. Miller took piano and flute lessons. It was the advice from her high school flute teacher that led Dr. Miller to audition for music programs in college, and after receiving three degrees in Music Performance, she has gone on to perform, teach, and adjudicate throughout Michigan. Dr. Miller is currently the flute instructor at Albion and Alma Colleges and freelances throughout the state. She lives in St. Johns with her husband and daughter.
