Meet Our Musicians: Travis Jones
Travis Jones, 19, is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance with Richard Sherman at Michigan State University. He began studying flute at the age of 10. Since then, Travis has studied with artists including Ann Stierli, Patricia George, Elizabeth Buck, Renee Krimsier, and Robert Langevin. He has attended the Sewanee Summer Music Festival and Brevard Music Festival. He is the recipient of the 2009 Knoxville Choral Society's Young Classical Musicians Scholarship and Best Wind Performance in the 2008 Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra's annual concerto competition.
