EVERYONE'S WELCOME TO PLAY!

The Jackson Symphony Orchestra Community String Ensemble
Peter A. Weatherwax Hall, 215 W. Michigan Ave.
NO AUDITION REQUIRED!

The Jackson Symphony Orchestra Community String Ensemble is a string orchestra of Jackson-area string musicians: violin, viola, cello and string bass, for all ages and technical levels. We rehearse twice a month, every other Monday, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at the JSO's Weatherwax Hall and perform two to three concerts a season. The season goes from September to May.

We perform beautiful and exciting music for String Orchestra. Opportunities for smaller "chamber" groups - string quartets, trios, duets and solo's - are also a part of our concert program.

So,...if once upon a time you studied a string instrument and for whatever reason had to "let it go" for awhile, or if you're a young person who doesn't quite have the experience to audition for the JSO, or if you're on any level in between and are still interested in performing with a group of other string musicians who love the art of music,

THEN WE ARE THE GROUP FOR YOU!!!!

Please call for more information (517) 782-3221.
