"Crime, Politics, Deceit, Passion"

Stephen Osmond, Conductor

Program Notes, by Bruce Brown

What else - Opera! The JSO is pleased to present Arturo Rodriquez, silver medal prizewinner in the first Vera Scammon International Voice Competition. The venue will be either an evening of arias and song or a semi-staged production of the romantic operatic treasure of all time - Puccini's Tosca. A truly outstanding cast including Melissa Osmond, and Richard Fracker (Metropolitan Opera) join forces with designer John Piper and the JSO to present a production of the operatic classic exploring, love, politics, passion, and deceit. No wonder they call them soap-operas!
