Feb. 27 deadline for 100 percent campaign It’s not too late to have melba cakes with the maestro The JSO’s 100% campaign is in its final six weeks. Currently the contribution level exceeds 75%. As a thank you, JSO Music Director and acclaimed chef Stephen Osmond (recently seen cooking on J-TV) – along with the JSO staff and board – will treat campaign donors to a breakfast in February of his famous melba cakes and more. Invitations will be mailed to all who have made contributions to the JSO for the 2003-2004 season. If you haven’t made a contribution for the 2003-2004 season and would like to be a part of the fun, it’s not too late. Contributions as a part of the 100% campaign will be gladly accepted through Feb. 27. “Our goal is to be able to report to state and local funders that 100 percent of our ticket holders support the JSO,” said Mary Spring, Development Director. “On any given year, more than 50% of our ticket holders contribute to the annual fund. Within the industry, this is phenomenal. If you have contributed already, thank you for your support,” she said. “If you haven’t, we hope you will join us both through a contribution and as our guest for ‘Melba Cakes With the Maestro.’ ” Supporters donating up to $299 will meet Saturday, Feb. 28, from 8-10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 275 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson. Donors in the $300-plus category will meet Sunday, Feb. 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Bella Notte Ristorante, 137 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson. If you have donated to the JSO for the 2003-2004 season and would like to join us for Melba Cakes, please call the JSO Office at 782-3221 to reserve your spot. Donors meeting Saturday, Feb. 28 at the First United Methodist Church are asked to choose one of three seatings: 8 a.m., 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. |
