The Guest Artist and Ensemble Series brings important educational
and entertaining music experiences to students in an assembly
format. Guest Artists explore the world of instruments and the
history of music in terms that reach young people of all ages.
JSO Ensembles are also among the touring artists. These ensembles
bring a varied repetoire of classical and contemporary composers
into the schools through performance and interaction with school
audiences. Initiated in the Spring of 1994 this series has brought
special experiences to area schools and has reached literally
hundreds of area children.
