THREE WAYS TO REGISTER

1. Call the school at 782-4467 to request a registration contract. Tuition payment must be made at the JSO office prior to the first class or lesson.

2. Mail in your registration contract with your payment for tuition prior to the start of the class or ensemble of lessons. Make your check payable to Jackson Symphony. Lessons and classes will be scheduled through the JSO/CMS office on a first come, first served basis.

3. Bring your registration contract and payment for tuition to JSO/CMS Office.

TUITION

The JSO/CMS operates on a semester system. The Fall semester runs from September 10, 2007 through January 7, 2008. The Spring semester runs from January 28, 2008 through May 19, 2008. Payments are expected in full prior to the beginning of the semester or class. For your convenience, arrangements may be made to split fees into two equal payments per semester (e.g. September 30 and October 30) or may be paid by credit card. All tuition payments are to be made payable to the JSO and turned into the JSO office, 215 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49201.

LATE FEES: Any tuition payments made after the due date on the invoice will be assessed a $10.00 a month late fee.

PHOTO RELEASE / REGISTRATION

Photo releases must be signed and be on file in our office. Sign and return registration forms, as signatures must be on file with the Community Music School. The photo release is on the back copy of the registration form.

WITHDRAWAL / REFUNDS

If a student withdraws within the first two weeks of a semester, the pro-rated balance of the paid semester tuition, less a $10.00 withdrawal fee, will be refunded. NO REFUND will be issued to any student who withdraws after the second week of the semester. NO REFUND will be issued to any student who withdraws after the second week of the semester. NO REFUNDS will be issued for withdrawal from any class or ensemble.

ABSENCES

Any private lessons missed by the teacher will be made up during designated make-up week each semester. Students registered for private lessons will be allowed one excused absence per semester for makeup. Twenty-four hour notice must be given by the student in order to be excused and offered a make-up lesson.

The school cannot make up classes or ensembles missed by the student, but any missed by the teacher will be made up during the designated make-up week each semester. Please notify the JSO/CMS office if your child is going to be absent from a class.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS

JSO/CMS reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment.

WEATHER CLOSING

Do not assume that JSO/CMS is closed because public or private schools, are closed. In the event of inclement weather, please call the school office at 782-4467. The message machine will have information after 2:00 p.m. about the current status of individual classes, ensembles, and private lessons.

DISMISSAL

JSO/CMS reserves the right to dismiss any student because of frequent absences, disciplinary reasons or overdue tuition.
