Jackson Symphony Orchestra Presents Free Outdoor Summer Pops Concert: A Salute to America
The Jackson Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce its annual Summer Pops Concert, marking the kickoff of the 75th season. Taking place on August 23rd at 7:00 pm in downtown Jackson Michigan, this free concert celebrates America’s strength and spirit. The event will be held in conjunction with a cruise-in, featuring classic cars, food trucks, and a lively community atmosphere.
The Summer Pops Concert: A Salute to America invites residents of Jackson and surrounding areas to an unforgettable summer evening of music and community. The concert will feature a mix of marches, film scores, and iconic pieces by famous American composers, including Aaron Copland, John Philip Sousa, and John Williams. It’s a perfect way to enjoy a summer evening with music that brings people together.
Led by Music Director, Matthew Aubin, the symphony’s exceptional talent shines through, setting the stage for a memorable concert experience. Meanwhile, the collaboration with the cruise-in event adds to the vibrant atmosphere of downtown Jackson, with classic cars on display and a variety of delectable options from food trucks.
For those looking for an extra special experience, VIP tickets are available for $30. These include a pre-concert reception at Weatherwax Hall starting at 6:00 pm, special seating in front of the orchestra, and a complimentary drink ticket. However, everyone is welcome to attend the concert for free—just bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the show!
