JSO Presents Free Outdoor Summer Concert

The Jackson Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce its annual Summer Pops concert, marking the kickoff of the 76th season. Taking place on August 22nd at 7:00 pm at Horace Blackman Park, this full orchestra concert celebrates America’s strength and spirit. The concert is free for all and attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets to set up and enjoy the music.

The program will feature music by celebrated American composers, including Aaron Copland, John Philip Sousa, and John Williams. From stirring fanfares to familiar film themes, this concert promises something for everyone and makes for a perfect summer evening downtown.

Led by Music Director Matthew Aubin, the symphony’s exceptional talent shines through, setting the stage for a memorable concert experience. Meanwhile, the collaboration with the DDA Cruise-In event adds to the vibrant atmosphere of downtown Jackson, with classic cars on display and a variety of food trucks, all within the downtown Jackson social district.
