Two Nights of Celtic Tradition With The Tannahill Weavers at Weatherwax Hall

The Jackson Symphony Orchestra’s popular Celtic Festival returns with two nights of live music featuring The Tannahill Weavers, one of the most influential and enduring bands in the Celtic music world. Performances will take place at Weatherwax Hall (215 W Michigan Ave), on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7.

This legendary band has been a driving force in the Celtic scene since 1968 blending powerful vocals, bagpipes, fiddle, and guitar into performances that balance lively dance tunes with heartfelt ballads. Praised by The New York Times for their “eloquent mixture of the old and the new,” the band has captivated audiences worldwide, with members also featured in the hit series Outlander.

“I will be absolutely star-struck to welcome these Celtic icons to the stage! Join us for a night of foot-stomping dance tunes and beautiful ballads. Give their 2006 album Dancing Feet a listen to get in the spirit,” said Colleen Monahan, Director of Business and Operations.

Grab a drink from the cash bar, sit back and relax or dance the night away. Show off your JSO Branded shirt at a Music on Tap concert for $2 OFF an alcoholic beverage or a FREE non-alcoholic beverage. Get yours here.
